For most of my life I’ve always been fit. Mostly because I was always active. In my mid 40’s is when I started to put on a little weight so I started running. I was surprised that I enjoyed it. I ran a few races just to say I did them. In 2013 I did whats called a Try-A-Tri (a scaled down sprint tri) and fell for the sport. It was at that point that I decided I didn’t want to just show up for races…I wanted to compete! I did 4 sprint tris in 2014 with a 2,3,4 & 6 place finishes in my age group (50-54).
